Bethesda sued Warner Bros. following the launch of Westworld
The North American publisher considers that the f2p of Behavior Interactive uses the code of Fallout Shelter.
For several days is available on iOS and Android Westworld a free to play game based on the popular television series of the same name HBO. However, it appears that this production violates the copyright protection rules of Fallout Shelter , which has motivated Bethesda to sue Warner Bros. and Behavior Interactive .
Speaking with Variety, Bethesda has stated that a complaint has been issued to the United States District Courts "for copyright infringement, breach of contract and misappropriation of intellectual property." According to the company, Behavior had previously worked with Bethesda to develop Fallout Shelter. Under that contract, Bethesda had all rights to the IP, including the code that was subsequently used to develop Westworld.
"He copied the design of the game Fallout Shelter, art, animations, mechanics and other elements," says Bethesda. "As a result of the illegal behavior of Behavior and Warner Bros., Westworld is just a plagiarism of Fallout Shelter with mostly superficial and cosmetic changes." All legal documents attributed to this claim can be found directly on the internet.
