EA seeks staff for a new Star Wars triple A campaign
It is a project of former employees of Visceral Games.
A new job offer published by EA Vancouver gives us new clues about the new Star Wars game planned for the fiscal year 2019. This offer, directed to a future online designer, invites us to think that it will have a campaign mode. Why? One of the requirements reads: "Work with the creative director, game director, and main scriptwriter to link all the characteristics with the story of a player and the gameplay in a cohesive experience."
As they indicate from the forums of Resetera, this project is none other than the Star Wars game that was handled by Visceral Games -focused on the solo experience- and that, according to clues from previous job offers, would have evolved in an open world. Now, it seems evident that EA is playing new cards on the table with some kind of online function.
This news, in reality, does not catch us off guard. Last November, after the closure of Visceral Games , EA Vancouver already anticipated us that in this Star Wars "it is important to highlight that we are changing the game to make it a wider experience that allows more variety and options for players" with the goal of offering "a deeper and wider Star Wars adventure to explore".
