From Software could return to the Dark Souls saga

Although Hidetaka Miyazaki insinuated in the past that Dark Souls III would be the last one, it may not end up like that.

Many fans thought that Dark Souls III would be the last installment of the From Software series , and not coincidentally. Hidetaka Miyazaki had already advanced several times his intention to turn the page on his most famous brand, and commented that Dark Souls 3 could be the last of the franchise. However, it could end up being the opposite.

In an interview with the North American portal IGN, Miyazaki has now commented on some aspects of the future of the game following the recent announcement of Déraciné , his next project oriented towards virtual reality . "When we were finishing Bloodborne and Dark Souls III, we had been thinking ... Okay, now what is the next thing we're going to do?" Miyazaki acknowledged, giving a clue as to what's to come. "The motivation to do Deraciné ... I do not want to say that it was to leave the Souls saga , but to take a breakof the IP. But it was not just that either. (...) We have learned things about virtual reality, which is a new technology, and it is a game built on Unreal Engine ... So we have learned a lot ".

In recent times the saga has been more news for the release of Dark Souls Remastered on PC, PS4, Xbox One and, in the future, also on Nintendo Switch , as well as the possible arrival of Dark Souls 2 and 3 Switch .
