Project Awakening, from Cygames, shows signs of life at E3
It looks "incredibly impressive visually", it seems.
A couple of years ago, the Japanese Cygames team presented an ambitious project with the code name Project Awakening , of which nothing has been learned until today. It will still be enough to see it publicly, but the portal DualShockers claims to have had occasion to see a short demonstration behind closed doors in E3 2018 and has shared some more details about this unnoticed game.
As you can read in an article in the magazine , the video showed "a hero without a name and a dragon" and his graphic fidelity was "incredibly impressive". Something that makes sense if we consider Tago Junji is behind the visual section: he is the former technical director of Kojima Productions, and one of the top managers of Fox Engine.
"The game seems to be a mix between the Western role and the Japanese court action, and that said, it is in a very early stage of development." So much so, that it does not yet have a name or launch details. Yes we know, at least, that Cygames aims to launch Project Awakening in "state-of-the-art consoles", so surely we will only see it on desktop of the current or the next generation.
