The fourth generation could soon reach Pokémon GO

Niantic shares an anniversary image where Diamond and Pearl Pokémon appear.

Niantic is celebrating: July 15 marks the second anniversary of the launch of Pokémon GO for iOS and Android in our territory. The official account of the game on Twitter has shared a happy image recalling some of the Pokémon epics and experiences that have since gone by, but among them appear clues that invite us to think that the fourth generation of monsters is closer than we think.

Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup , the initial companions of Pokémon Diamond , Pearl and Platinum , are mixed among other creatures of the image. For now, Pokémon GO only presents collectibles and mechanics of the first three generations (until Ruby, Sapphire and Esmeralda) so that we could see an announcement about it sooner rather than later.

For now, it seems that fans who are looking forward to a remake of Sinnoh may have to settle for capturing Lucario and Garchomp in Pokémon GO, as the plans of Game Freak go through other paths. While Niantic is preparing a Pokémon GO Fest event in Chicago this weekend, in Japan they are working on the launch of Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! / Eevee! for November 16 on Nintendo Switch .
