Vampyr has sold about half a million games in a month
The creators of Life is Strange have been delighted with the commercial success of their new work.
Good news for the Dontnod team . The creators of the series Life is Strange have confirmed that their remarkable Vampyr has sold close to 500,000 units during its first month of life, which is quite an achievement for this small French studio.
If you add Vampyr's sales data on PC, Xbox One and PS4, this action-and-role adventure set in the London of the early 20th century has sold more than 450,000 copies to date. "We are very proud because, since its launch, our latest creation has enjoyed great acceptance among the players," said the head of the French studio, Oskar Guilbert.
"Thanks to our new role as videogame co-producers, we will benefit enormously from this commercial success," says the Dontnod executive. Some time ago, the president of Focus Home Interactive said Vampyr would be profitable selling half a million units , so in a matter of a few weeks, this action adventure and role starring a vampire is close to meeting that first goal.
In our analysis of Vampyr, we described Dontnod's videogame as "a captivating title with a fluid mixture of narrative and playable mechanics that, although it does not always succeed, impresses with its courage and dedication". Currently, the team works on Life is Strange 2 , which opens on PC and consoles in September of this year. As a preview, a free prologue called The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit was released .
